Welback Holdings released the Mega Duck in 1993, a low-cost handheld whose hardware sat close to the Game Boy without running its cartridges. It reached Europe and South America, where it also sold as the Cougar Boy.
Its library ran to a few dozen cartridges, mostly action and puzzle games from small Taiwanese and Hong Kong studios, several of them reworked versions of titles released elsewhere.
MAME and other emulators run the Mega Duck library on modern systems.
