Palm OS powered the Palm Pilot and later handhelds from the late 1990s into the 2000s, on fixed low-resolution screens, first in grayscale and then colour.
Its games ran to puzzles, card games, role-playing and action, many shipped as cheap shareware and loaded straight onto the device.
Emulators such as POSE run a share of the Palm OS library on modern systems.
