Sega sold the Beena in Japan from the mid-2000s as an educational console for young children, a follow-up to the earlier Pico.
Its cartridges taught letters, numbers and drawing through popular Japanese children’s characters rather than aiming at older players.
The system stayed in Japan and remains a niche interest for collectors.
