Apple designed the Pippin as a cheap Mac-based console and licensed it to Bandai, which sold it from 1996 in Japan and North America. It was costly, underpowered and short-lived.
Its small library drew on Mac games and multimedia discs, with few titles built for the console itself.
Emulators run part of the Pippin library on modern systems.
