Commodore released the VIC-20 in 1980 as a cheap colour home computer. Its small memory pushed developers to write compact games, often on cartridge.
The library held arcade ports and original titles, and the machine served as many players’ first computer before the Commodore 64 arrived.
VICE and other emulators run VIC-20 software on modern systems.
