Mel....there were four games total, in the Battle Chess series. The one featured on GoG, is a remake of the original Battle Chess.
This game is not playable, unless you have the game manual, or a way to crack the copy protection.
the online browser for the game has gotten very glitchy lately and does not work at all

It's still considered Abandonware because the version on this site runs on dos and dos emulators. If you buy it from sites like GOG your getting a revamped version that will be compatible for most if not all modern operating systems.
