HARRY WHITHOUSE - Random variables are the very thing which make games - from early Managerials like these, to the latest GTA's - realistic; the more there are, the better the realism. Anyway, how could you have a game published If It was a "cheat", as you say? Do you honestly expect us to believe that your publishers "didn't bother" to check & edit your program? Or that nobody who bought the game complained? And please tell us - what was your motive? What did you possibly hope to achieve by turning a decent-looking game Into a pointless waste of everyones time, including your own? You make no sense. Most people who played games In the 8-bit era had at least some knowledge of BASIC/Assembler/Hex code and would have quickly noticed the repetitive scores, as well as the fact that the strength or weaknesses of the squads didn't match up with performance. Stop talking rubbish - you didn't write this game, or any other game I'll wager. I, on the other hand, AM a published software author (Spectrum 48k/128k , Amstrad CPC464/6128 , Commodore 64k) and I know of which I speak. Unfortunately, I can't get this game to run on my PC ("CD ROM files corrupt or missing" Is the message I'm getting), but when I do get a running version-and I shall- I'll investigate this outrageous claim of yours and In the highly unlikely event that there's some truth In It, I'll rewrite It. As you'll no doubt know, (apparently so), this kind of game Is simple to create and tinker with. Grow up!

I cheated when I programmed this. The score for each match is two randomly generated numbers, between 0 and 4. Doesn't make the slightest odds what the players skill ratings are. Hahahahahahaaaaaaa!
