After letting Tiertex develop a disappointing action game based on its The Last Crusade movie license, LucasArts wisely decided to develop the action game based on the original Fate of Atlantis adventure game on its own. The result is a fun, but VERY difficult isometric action game starring everyone's favourite archaeologist.
Being an action title, the game starts off where Indy is about to have an excuse to use his trusty whip: in Monte Carlo, after he recruited headstrong former student Sophie to his aid and determined the location of ancient discs needed to open the door to the lost city of Atlantis. Most action takes place in isometric view, although there are some variations along the way to keep up interest. There are even some adventure-game elements, such as Indy's inventory which you can fill with various objects to use (i.e. money to buy things). They are mostly easy though, and are there only to relieve the tension from knuckle-blistering action.
Overall, this is a much better Indy action title than The Last Crusade, although the extremely tough difficulty level may discourage action newbies, and the color scheme is a bit too sepia-influenced for my taste. It's not the best action game your money can buy, but it's still pretty good.

If You execute the file indy.exe You can unlock the Game and You won't need the wheel anymore.
Here's an online code wheel that works with the game. The Indy.exe didn't work for me (Android, MagicDOSBox).

To anyone who struggle to get past the code wheel copy protection screen, run INDY.EXE first, then run INDY4A.EXE

Unlike previous Indiana Jones licensed games, there is no accompanied Hollywood movie tied to the Fate of Atlantis story. If you want to understand the story/scenario better, I recommend to check out the point-N-click adventure game of the same name, which is the definitive take. In fact, you rather should be playing that one instead of this awkward casino crap. It even has more action than this. one promises.
Graphics modes and sound devices are auto-detected, it seems to take EGA, VGA/MCGA, Tandy(?) modes.
What's the use of sharing this without unlock the Game, nothung bug a trap.
The game works fine, except I need a code for the "code wheel" and I don't know how to type it in.
The game runs very well on DOSBox 0.74 including Sound and FX.
The game does not work.
Hi. When I try to run INDY4A.EXE with Dosbox v0.74 this message is shown: "Please insert disk '1'". And nothing else. I don't know if I must do something special or it's simply an error. Thanks
