THANK-YOU!
I just bought a copy of Project-X from a certain auction site, and guess what? Disk 1 is dead! The first game I buy in years... [How dare magnetic media dying after 20 years... right?]
Anyways, had this game in '93.. maybe '94. I loved the awesome soundtrack, hard game play though, but the graphics were amazing.
I used to have my Amiga connected to my Hi-Fi and load the game just to hear the music!

Team-17 have a reputation for quality games and this didn't disappoint!

Tough game, but a cracking sound track. Used to load it just to listen to it.

I hate R-Type style games but I always loved Project X, just as I hated top down racing games but fell in love with Overdrive. Both these games were made by Team 17, they had a serious knack for picking a genre and making a fantastic game in that genre then moving on to an entirely different genre. Body Blows was another they did and it was hugely succesful... What a genius developer they were for the Amiga! They really should have been able to move from 16bit to 32bit like DMA Design, Digital Illusions and Bullfrog who went on to become Rockstar North, DICE and Lionhead Studios respectively.

I have been searching for this for so long... this really needs to be re-made for the playstation platform. Best retro game ever.

Project X was probably the best and toughest side scrolling shooter on the Amiga in the early nineties except for Silkworm but nobody remembers that either. A side scrolling 2player with 1 in a jeep and 1 in a chopper, genius. Any1 remember it? 1 of the first 2p games back in the day, me and me bro were into streets of rage and sonic and tails tho:) I was never Sonic:( but i kicked his ass at streets of rage.

The best space shooter ever ! It was a little bit tough though, but with beautiful graphics and superb sound.
