I played it using the fan-translation. I think this is the worse version compared with the MSX one.
Very tedious constant backtracking; talking with every NPC is necessary to unlock events, but it sometimes requires to talk with specific NPCs in a certain order to trigger dialogues and events; fights are easy in this version, and you can collect lots of bullets, energy, MF and experience, even if it doesn't redeem the mess the developers did with this game.
