If you run GENOAFIX.EXE then type in simcity.exe
If you get a DOS screen when trying to load the game, type 'simcity' then press enter. Now, enjoy the game!
THE GAME WORKS FINE! Simply choose option two on "Game Executable" - SIMCITY.EXE not GENOAFIX.EXE - and the game will run perfectly well.

Good God! This brings back memories, and good ones at that! I just discovered this site today and immediately saved it as a favorite. Also, I'm letting several friends know because they loved this game but it no longer runs on the newer windows platforms. I had to dig out an old dos computer from my storage room and fire it up to be able to play this and now I don't have to do that! Thanks! Ed
