Not a pro at this by any means, but I managed to get the game working on Windows 11 by following these steps from Google:
“Since the game was designed for Windows 95/98, you may need to use a wrapper to get the graphics working:
Use dgVoodoo2: Download dgVoodoo2, copy dgVoodooCpl.exe, dgVoodoo.conf, and the files from MS\x86\ (D3DImm.dll, DDraw.dll) into the game installation folder.
Fix Input: Download dinputto8 and extract dinput.dll to the game folder.
Configure dgVoodoo: Run dgVoodooCpl.exe, go to the DirectX tab, and set the Videocard to GeForce FX 5700 Ultra with 256MB VRAM for best compatibility.”

Only worked for me once I added dinput.dll to the game folder, which I downloaded from GitHub.
The game is lots of fun and works well with my Xbox controller! Knutstorp is my fav track so far. Will be appealing to the Swedish stewards after getting a stop-go penalty for some mild bumper bashing. Luckily, there's a setting to turn the rules off!

In my last comment I wrote menu music. I did not mean the main menu, but the intro (which in this version is lacking), so I thought I'd clear that up. The main menu in STCC2 has never had music.

The game works and can be played, but it has an annoying issue with the sounds. The menu has no music - something I know for a fact should exist on the original game. Moreover once in a race the engine revs sound wrong, instead of revving up just as you're about to shift up it sounds like the engine is stuttering when you accelerate, almost as if you had maxed out the revs, when you haven't. I don't know if this is a problem with windows 10/11 specifically, if it's this topy of the game, or what it is. But that is not the case in the proper retail version as you can see videos of online.

If you experience issues with running the game, try this solution (worked for me on Windows 10 x64): * download the 3.3 patch (latest available) and install it. * swap the exe from default one to fixed. This will also work if you can't start Falkenberg rounds in both championships. You have to look both for patch and fixed exe by yourselves. I did it earlier, but it's much easier to download the patch than the fixed exe for 3.3 version-patched game (there's only 1 site with that exe). Anyway you have to keep the CD in the ACTUAL drive. Virtual drives don't support bin & cue images containing separate music, so just in case - burn the CD.

The 4 Dice Games work not because when sound Acceleration under Sounds is on Maximum. Set this on Minimal, the Games start.
