This game doesn't work. It plays until the late game and then most, if not all, sea creatures are negative coloured fish. You also don't get hints from the orange stars (or they're nonsense that isn't originally used in the game) and if you flash all the fish you still don't get gems.
Works fine until the 5th star.

Out of all the Super Solvers Treasure titles, this one's a lot tougher than it looks.
For one, the number of rainbow crystals is not quite "fixed". At each level, the value of the rainbow crystals found changes, and on higher ranks the game offers bonus gems that multiply your value. The game assumes that you'll take full advantage of multiplier gems because otherwise it'll take forever to fix the rainbow bridge. I make sure I've collected every gem on the level before shining my light on the multiplier to ensure maximum multiplication, and by the end of the game, I'm pulling down 12,500 gems per cycle. Even with that kind of wealth, it still took me about 42 cycles to complete the game. That's far longer than I expected.
I'd also like to add that the game's not kidding when they tell you that leaking Goobies are a serious problem. In the other games, I don't have too much trouble avoiding enemies, but in this one, Goobies tend to come in swarms and sometimes they slime me one after another. Plus, at the end of the cycle you have to swim through Shark Park, and on higher ranks there are more sharks swimming around. Goobies and sharks don't "hurt" you, but if Goobies touch you they'll steal your light, and the sharks will bounce you back to the beginning. Swim carefully.
If you're playing the older DOS version, the story frames the Goobie Tube leak as an accident (see the screenshots above). However, the updated version with enhanced graphics and voice tells the story differently, with the Master of Mischief deliberately casting spells all over Treasure Cove, including dropping sharks into the harbor just to make your life more difficult. I mean, I knew the Master of Mischief had some amazing magic tricks, but this guy is seriously hardcore.

I played this game on my grandparents computer as a kid. I was absolutely thrilled to find it here and get to play it 2 weeks ago. But now when I select play or download it says page not found. What happened?

This is amazing!! I used the DosBox emulator to get this on Windows 10. Put the extracted folder in your C: and then mount in DosBox. Run the install command and then close out when it asks you to insert a disc. Then just run cove.exe and you're on your way to nostalgic heaven! :)

I tried using install.exe and got stuck at the "Insert Disk" step. Then I tried cove.exe and got stuck at the Dive Shop where you're supposed to see a box to enter your name. After 3 or 4 tries, ended up deleting the file.

So when I tried to install this game in Boxer, I ended up at a message asking me to insert the disk. If you then ignore that and press escape, it asks if you want to finish importing or something of the like. If you say yes, it ends up installing the game and you can open it up and play without any disks. No tricky folder stuff either, it just works. Hope this helps someone!
Man I had no memory of how stupidly repetitive this game is. I never beat it as a kid though, so I am determined to finish, god dammit!

The most recent version of this is warez. However, The Learning Company seems to have abandoned this version.

There is a mistake in the release date, this is the 1992 version. The 1994 has voices, upgraded music, etc.
