Bandai released the WonderSwan Color in 2000, adding a colour screen to the mono WonderSwan while keeping its long battery life. Square’s support gave it a boost in Japan.
Its library included colour remakes of Final Fantasy I, II and IV, plus original action and role-playing games, all Japan-only.
Mednafen and other emulators run the WonderSwan Color library on modern systems.
