This game is the only reason that Windows has not been removed from my Windows 98 computer. If not for that reason then Linux Puppy would be installed on that computer

Works great on Fedora Linux using Lutris (In the Repository) and Mulch's instructions. Brings back memories!

After failing to get the game to work back in 2021, (I'd not bothered to read Mulch's comment) I forgot about the CD I'd made, which then went into my large CD storage case (holds 1000 CD's). I came across the CD I'd mounted back in 2021 while sorting out a database for all the CD's I have accumulated over the last 30+ years.
I tried playing the game again and got the same result as five years ago; i.e., a message saying it was a 32bit application, so wouldn't play on my 64bit computer.
I then checked this page and finally had the sense to read Mulch's comment.
Downloaded the Sierra file and finally got this game to work. Yeahhh, so so pleased.....
One of the guys I used to play this with back in the 90's who I rarely see these days. We used to go to see a lot of bands back in the 80's and 90's and I'd booked tickets to see Gong and Henge, so invited him up to see them playing at the New Century Hall in Manchester.
We played this together for the first time in almost 30 years. Crazy, but really enjoyable (so was the gig). :)
Thank you Mulch; sorry I ignored you back in 2021

I was able to get the download from internet archive, followed the instructions here for sierra help and got the game to run. Only issue im having now is the common issue with these kinds of workarounds of maintaining saved highscores on system restart

Thank you so much Mulch,
I wasn't able to get the game running via the ISO as it said it was 32bit game and my computer is 64bit. Anyway, I followed the link to Sierra that you provided, downloaded the Creepnight file, unpacked it, clicked on the exe after placing the CD that I'd copied the ISO to, into the DVD tray and the game installed and now I'm playing my favorite pinball game again.
The last time I played this was at least 20 years ago

can't get the game to run without mounting the disc, no big deal tho :) if you try to run the game and get a popup saying you need to insert the cd, just open the mounted ISO and launch the PINBALL2 application from the UPBALL2 folder

Anyone know how to get the music to work? I installed it in compatibility mode, and it runs well for the most part, the sound cuts out now and then. The SFX and the voices work, but it can't load the music. The file directory has the MID folder full of the music, and all the music files work, I can play them in the media player...the game just can't process them for some reason.

I love this game still have the cd somewhere. If you download the ISO and it doesn't work all you have to do is instead of clicking the auto run exe. click the file upball/pinball2 (TY PAT!) when that opens you will see the creep night icon click on that and you should be good to go.

This was one of my favourite pinball games back in the day. I used to play this with friends while still at university. I had a CD version, but that was lost many years ago so am very pleased to find this here. Despite having all of the latest pinball collections released; e.g. Pinball FX 2 & 3, Zaccaria Pinball, Stern Pinball, Malzbies Pinball Collection, and the two versions of Pinball Arcade (to name some), Creep Night remains one of my all time favourite pinball games. The sheer scope of the game enthralled me and my friends for many hours; often staying up all night competing to see who could get the high scores.
I can't wait to get this installed and working. :)

I was able to get this working in 2021 on a modern windows 10 PC. I will explain my steps, these should also work if you own a true physical copy
- Download the ISO file from here - Check out this website http://sierrahelp.com/Patches-Updates/NewSierraInstallers.html - download the 3d ultra creep night installer - Mount the iso file (I used a free iso mount called WinCDemu, but there are others) - run the new installer you just downloaded - Pick the drive you mounted the iso on - Follow all the other prompts on the installer
It should then install, and allow you to play with no cd and on windows 10. At least it did for me. 5 minute process for me. The menus prior to the game starting were a little funny, so mileage might vary. Good luck, TONS of nostalgia here

I played this with my high school daughter and son. Now, their kids are graduating high school. I came across my old game, and couldn't make it work. I googled this and found this website. I downloaded it. I couldn't make it work, however, I read some of the comments above. One suggested Upball 2/Pinball2 and it works!!! Thank you so much. It is a fun game to play.

I somehow recently came into possession of an original installation CD of this game. I first got it running on real Windows 98 running in QEMU PC emulator, on Windows XP. I was then able to install and run it directly on a physical Windows XP laptop, by running the installer in Win 98 compatibility mode, then setting the installed EXEs also to run in Win 98 compatibility mode.
This game is *amazing* -- way better than any of the other "virtual pinball" apps I've tried (though there are still a few I haven't), and most of the physical tables I've ever played! Excellent and seamless integration of "non-physically-realizable" elements into the game, huge number of things to explore, always something happening "out of the corner of your eye" (exactly as it should be in a "creepy"-themed game!), etc. etc. etc. This thing is really a triumph and masterwork of SHEER FREAKING GENIUS CREATIVITY. I *love* it!

I have all of these games on the Pinball by Sierra and none of them work on Windows 7 Pro, and I highly doubt they will work on Windows 10. If you really want to play these old, great games, you're gonna have to buy online a computer already built with a Windows 98SE installation and all components installed as well.
