Aces over Europe is a great follow-up to Dynamix' first World War II combat flight sim Aces of the Pacific.
Playing in the European theater of war, you have the option to fly either for the German or British air forces. Yet again many different planes made it into the game, which boasts even better graphics, more varied missions, and a more comprehensive career mode than Aces of The Pacific. Recommended for WWII flight sim fans. :)
For similar games take a look at Rowan's Reach for the Skies or Microprose's 1942: Pacific Air War, if you prefer the Pacific theater. Aces over Europe requires heaps of conventional memory, so make sure you read the FAQ for pointers on memory management for DOS games.

Je dispose toujours d' un 486 DX 4/100 en état de marche, avec Ms Dos 6.22 et Windows 3.11 de même que les cd originaux du jeu... Là ou j'ai un problême, c' est avec la disquette de démarrage, j' arrive à la créer par l' intermédiaire du CD, mais quelque chose cloche, je lance avec la disquette, mais je n'ai pas assez de mémoire....
This game is brilliant! It is the sequel to Aces of the Pacific, an already amazing flight sim for the time, but improved further to be the best of Dynamix's Great War Planes series.
This game has higher resolutions, more plane detail and features have been improved on. This game chugs a bit on a 486DX5 I was emulating, but still playable.
For people who love history, flight, combat flight and/or old computers, this game is a MUST PLAY!
The audio is even better with MT32! (i emulated it lol)
Anyway of getting an xbox controller to work with this game?
I used to play Aces over Europe alot years ago. My discs are banged up and I have a new gaming computer. Can I download the game free, kinda like Steam, or do I need to get new discs to play it again?

DosBOX does not seem to apply the scalers during the missions (it does during menus). Strange.
