The F9 and F10 for left and right rotation make sense for an original model PC, or an IBM XT, which would have been around in 1982. The F-function keys were in two rows of 5 on the left hand side of the keyboard. F9 and F10 were next to each other on the bottom row.
In DOSbox, this can be easily remapped as you see fit.
Only alternative version 3 seems to work in the browser, the others all have corrupted graphics.
There seems to be no sound, and there are better versions of Asteroids for DOS on this site.

On screenshots it looks just like a clone of Asteroids. After openig it in browser, I may also assume that it has bad controls (F9 and F10 to rotate? Insert and delete to move forward/backwards?). (Un)fortunately, the actual game didn't work.
