As with other political sims, the goal here is to be in power the longest without being thrown out by opposing parties. It's a solid sim, although replay value is limited because many crises (e.g. 1986 Chernobyl disaster) do not vary from game to game. Recommended for everyone interested in cold-war era USSR or real-world politics.

The linked site to buy this game merely directs one to GOG - which does not have the game either (and seemingly never did).
Steam sells a game by the same title, but this is a remake by different people.
Can't get past Year 1 because the game Freezes and Mouse Disapeers and can't do anything afterwards/

This game is a bit of a forgotten gem; it's a surprisingly good political sim. I have downloads for it on my CitK page (http://peyre.x10.mx/Kremlin/index.htm), including the manual and a couple mods that improve the game. One of them unlocks post-1991 crises that don't normally appear, such as the Bay of Pigs II scenario.
Ertrael/deadxp, I don't know how to hack the budget or GNP exactly, but you can change the effects of your decisions by editing RESULTS.DAT.
This game is nearly impossible to play as a hardliner . This is reinforced by 3 stats : 1.food never goes past 4 squares
2. Political power never reaches past 4 squares
3. The republics leaving can not be stopped
Please inform my if there is a good hardline strategy / tips.

This game is awesome, but unfortionally the game seems to crash for me at a certain point in dec 1989... I have saved, but the game still crashes at the same spot...
