The first ICOM game, Deja Vu 1 introduces multiple-window user interface, mouse support (back in 1986-- when not many people knew what a "mouse" was), and true WYSIWYG.
In this game, you wake up with (surprise, surprise) an amnesia in a decrepit bar. Puzzles are somewhat difficult due to the fact that only about half of what you can carry are actually useful. The game gives you only a vague sense of what to do next, so the illusion of non-linearity is effective. The periodic flashbacks are a nice touch as they advance the story. There IS a time limit, so save often!

Great adventure game, however quite difficult. A very unique interface that works quite handy only if the screen could have been bigger back in the day.
dat DOS pink/blue do be aesthetic af tho
And save to C:\ drive
for DOSBOX change video to CGA
The best versions of these were the Windows re-release, as they had the best graphics and the Windows interface worked well for them.
Unfortunately, they seem difficult to find and AFAIK are impossible to get working on any Windows after 3.1...
Played on the C64 and Amiga. Slow on the C64. But liked it.
I used to play it on a Mac SE back then.
It was really well playable using the mouse with drag&drop etc. But it was really hard and I think not finishable without a walkthrough.
I personally prefer the mac's classy black and white graphic over the strange pink & cyan dos colors.
The game works fine in DOSBox.
Run the RUNME.BAT file.
Make sure your mouse is captured because it uses it.
I can't run this game in DOSBox!
This is actually a VERY cool game, by the same company that did "Uninvited".
One of the earliest multi-window RPG's of it's time.
I played it on Amiga several years ago: an awesome graphic adventure, if you consider it was realesed in 1987.
Amiga version had 32 colours instead of 4 of CGA PC one.
Beautiful and mysterious plot, but hard to finish!
I recommend it to you!
