This is a highly original game that unfortunately gets bogged down with extreme non-linearity. You are a superhero who has the special ability to take control of most people you meet by typing "BECOME [someone]" and looking at the world from their perspective.
Despite exciting possibilities, solving the game is almost impossible because you must become someone to solve many puzzles, but precisely who to become is not always obvious. Recommended for veteran IF-er only, and be prepared to get frustrated in your quest to thwart the evil scientist.

The art tho... XD
The Memorex reissue of the game (packaged as a double feature with Darkseed) has the text of the manual. But the format, lines, and paging are not preserved. It's in a .textfile format (this was before pdfs). There is now no way to tell where the real 3rd line of the 5th page is. Obviously, the folks at Memorex didn't bother to actually play the game to any extent or they would have noticed this early on and should have cracked it themselves. This was careless repackaging. They should have consulted with the original author and company. It makes the game totally unplayable.
So frustrating!
I played this game in the 90's. But it is so HARD (and I'm an experienced text adventure player).
Because of the character switching ability, you have a huge number of possibilities, plus the NPCs act on their own and sometimes VERY stupidly. This makes it very difficult to solve the puzzles. While the beginning is not too difficult, you end up stuck quite fast without any clue about what to do next. Most reachable places are basically impossible to solve and you end up walking here and there with no aim, when you are not killed by a stupid NPC...
Too bad because that game had a great potential.
As far as I know, this game has never been beaten, and no complete walkthrough exists...
(And the code protection is REALLY annoying: you must type a word from the manual, but sometimes the game asks you to look on the BOX to find the word. Who thought this was a good idea? I own the game, but I don't keep the -big- box handy. That's really stupid!)
The game will ask for a word from the manual after a few moves and doesn't continue if the wrong word is entered. It's not playable like this.
