This game is on the top of my shmup hall of fame together with Project X and Agony. It has lovely art and even better soundtrack which I still enjoy to this day. The ship upgrade mechanics also add a strategic depth to the game, and makes it more "finishable" than other hardcore games like Project X or R-type.
