Using Monterey OS on late 2014 Mac mini. Dosbox 0.73.
I was having problems getting full screen viewing and occasional game ending freeze-ups.
To get fullscreen I go fullscreen on my Firefox browser before starting Empire Dlx. After starting choose 640x480 in 16 colors; I also turn the sound off and choose fast screen movement while I am at it. The game seems to want to start off with 256 colors every time even saved games whenever I restart. Then I choose fullscreen from the game's options listed above the viewing area. Fullscreen will be achieved but may take 2 or 3 tries.
Also, my VPN is turned off before going to myabandonware the VPM seems to cause freeze ups during the game.
Since discovering all all this the game plays flawlessly!
Cannot load for last two days. Gives message: "Failed to load game file." Been playing since early 90s. Please fix.

I fixed it by attempting to download the DOS. There is a page error that pops up, and click ADVANCED and download anyway. Then, I didn't download, but the browser version worked again.

Great game,have played it for oh 25 years or so, unfortunately, I can't get a proper DOS box app that would work on my computer, so as to have the game resident on my computer.
So I can only play it Online with the Brave Browser, running Catalina OS on my Macbook pro, it works fine, at least up to now.
No comment nor review for this game at the moment.
