I used WinUAE and took advice from Hamfist (thank you!) and downloaded some kickstart roms from archive.org. It is complicated to get this game running (if anyone needs a tutorial just ask commenting is free on this site) There will be two versions in the provided zip files. I chose cr fsn which is some old uk crack group from the 2000s. So it works, its just very complicated.

To wanderingcommenter: Glad you got to play the ST version. If you want to try the Amiga version too, UAE is the best Amiga emulator (WinUAE for Windows, FS-UAE for Linux), you can get the Kickstart ROM files on Internet Archive (doesn't cost anything). (internet archive also has "workbench" disks, the Amiga's operating system.) (Hope this helps!)

Woo! I did it! I actually found a way to play the game using a free emulator. I used SteemSSE which is the Atari ST version of the game (basically the lesser known version) and I am playing it right now. There are very helpful guide videos on how to set it up. The only downside is that Atari ST has fewer colors than the Amiga. If you want to see what it looks like, search up Fate gates of dawn Atari ST. It’s not that bad.

Found out that you need kick rom files which are ESSENTIAL for the game to run. They need to be payed to download and use them. Spent a whole week, just to be brought down. Oh well, you can buy them at lemon amiga. But I just want to play games :(

My first RPG ever, and what a wild open world adventure! Definitly going to play it again once retired, as it takes forever...
