Happyland Adventures is a classic freeware platformer that is quite typical in plot (or lack of one) and gameplay, but it has the same qualities that made Mario Brothers enduring: charming graphics and a well-balanced gameplay that strikes just the right difficulty level.
Platform fans will be more than familiar with the gameplay: collect various fruits for bonus, dispatch of enemies, and reach the exit to the next level. The not-so-important plot: save the Happylanders from evil. Short and sweet, eh? ;)
Action game experts may find the game too easy and too short, but others will likely find it a fun and pleasant diversion that stands up to the best of shareware platformers, although maybe lacking in production value to compete with commercial titles. As a nice bonus, the download includes a level editor you can use to create your own levels, and you can download extra ones from the game's website.
Thumbs up for this charming freeware underdog.

Anyone knows if you can save your game?
It's W you're supposed to press for full screen, not Z. It doesn't work anyway. Just makes the game crash.
Thanks a lot! My childhood is back!
Note: Fullscreen is available in the game. You have to press Z when you are in the first selection screen.

I've been looking for this game for YEARS and I finally found this website and went page by page just on the off chance I could recognize it... I'm so happy!
Nice game but no more full screen available. Maybe only useful for tablet or phone
