I-Ninja

While following the installation procedure described by MCV, the installation keeps getting interrupted at Step 5 (right after selecting the CD2 disk file when prompted to insert Disc 2) with the following message:

"An error occurred whilst copying the data. The installation will now abort."

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I Ninja game

The game has and issue if the game its not on "C:\Program Files (x86)\I-Ninja"

The game has harcoded a variable call "Target Path" if you don't have this variable(you copy or move) the game gives an ERROR "An unexpected error ocurred and this game will terminate, If probems persist, please contact Techincal Support"

Install the game like intructed cd1,cd2 cd3(Skip if you already install it)
This var when installed the game has the value "C:\Program Files (x86)\I-Ninja", so if you dont put the game in this path the game gives that error

Just add the next 3 lines in a new document and save as ninja.reg (IMPORTANT i save this file in the folder game "/home/deck/Games/I-Ninja/ninja.reg")

"Target Path"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\I-Ninja"

For Windows execute and the game will run if the game its in that path, change the path to where you have your game(not tested)

For Steam deck my steps
1.- Intall the game cd1, cd2, cd3
2.- Copy the folder game to usb
3.- Paste the game at some folder in the steam deck or run it directly (i already have it at /home/deck/Games/I-Ninja)
4.- At /home/deck/Games/I-Ninja/I-Ninja.exe click right and add to steam
5.- Select Properties - Compatibility - Proton Experimental o 9.0(works on both)
6.- Run the game to steam create all the folders for the game the ERROR from top will appear
7.- Open Protontricks
8.- Search for the game and the id (dont close protontricks) my: I-Ninja: 3483336482
9.- Go to the path my: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3483336482/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/
10.- Paste the game folder in that location: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3483336482/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/I-Ninja/
11.- Copy the path location of I-Ninja.exe: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3483336482/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/I-Ninja/I-Ninja.exe
12.- Open game Properties - Shortcut - Target: "/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3483336482/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/I-Ninja/I-Ninja.exe"
13.- Change the variable Start In: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/3483336482/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/I-Ninja/
14.- In protontricks double click at the game
15.- Wait for protontricks takes a while
16.- Select "install and application" and click ok
17.- The next window click cancel (no need to select anything)
18.- Select "Run regedit" and click ok
19.- In regedit(Registry Editor) on top left select Registry
20.- Select "Import Registry File..."
21.- In "Look In" go to the folder game click and search for My Computer - C: - Program Files(x86) - I-Ninja - ninja.reg Or where you save the 3 lines from above
22.- Click open
23.- Close the regedit
24.- Close Protontricks

With this steps the game now have the variable "Target Path", the game run without issue with audio, how i findout, moving files, xdbg, ghidra, i dont want the game inside a steam folder but with this harcoded variable i cant change it, if anyone knows how to patch the game so it reads from the executable path this steps are not nedded, but with this you can play the game and remember the good old days when the games bring joy.

Funcionou perfeitamente realizando conforme o comentário do MCV, só aconselho que logo após a reinicialização, ao invés de clicar novamente no atalho do jogo rode o disco 3 e copie o que tiver dentro da pasta para a pasta onde o jogo está, após isso abra o jogo e se divirta.

Still working for Windows 11 in 2024. The instructions by MCV work, but once I got to the part where I'm asked to reboot, it just kept asking that over and over and I was never asked for the missing file. Instead, I said no to the reboot(which closed the .exe) and skipped to the part where you copy over the files from disc 3 and that worked for me.

Is there anyway to remove the black lines in the cutscenes or is that just a thing cause it’s a cracked version

Bonjour, pour ma part le jeu ce lance bien mais le problème c'est que les sauvegarde ne marche pas, je fini une mission ça me dit échec de la sauvegarde et je reste bloqué.
Je dois forcer la fermeture du jeu et je doit tout recommencer du début...
Si vous savez pourquoi les sauvegardes ne marche pas. Merci

After reading through all the comments, NinjaUser's comment was the solution (for me atleast) No software needed.
The way I did it:
Step 1: Download all three ISO files
Step 2: Extract all of them to a folder
Step 3: Run I-Ninja CD1, CD2. Run the Disc Image File on CD1.
Step 4: Open disc file. Run the setup application.
Step 5: If asked to insert disc 2, select the disk file CD2 (e.g "F:" "D:") If asked to insert disc 1, select the disk file of CD1 (e.g "E:" "D:")
Step 6: Start the created shortcut (Desktop). If asked to reboot say yes.
Step 7: Run it again. It will ask for "blinkw3.dll" is missing.
Step 8: Run CD3. Open Crack folder. Copy all of the files.
Step 9: Locate I-Ninja in your Program Files.
Step 10: Paste & replace everything. Start the shortcut again and the program should be running.

i used virtual clonedrive and every time i try to launch i-ninja it tells me installation is complete and i have to reboot my pc. Which it does for me and it just repeats itself? What do I do to fix this?
