There were 2 things that made American Football popular in the 90s in the UK. 1 was Channel 4 showing highlights and 2 was John Madden Football. I never followed the sport but got to play this and loved it at the time. I didn't know the rules or the plays of the game, but that didn't stop me too much from giving this game a blast.
Also this game is from an era when EA sports actually made some cracking games unlike now, menus were logical and easy to follow even for a complete noob to the sport. It's like now, I play say NHL hockey and I am forced into picking a favourite team. WHY? The 90s I really loved EA, now I say down with them.
