  • Export saves: export the savegame files from your browser, so you can switch to another browser or computer. You can also use them in an emulator installed on your computer.
  • Import saves: import savegames that you exported before with the Export saves button.
  • Download disk: export the whole game from your browser, with all your savegames. Useful to switch to an emulator installed on your computer.
  • Reset game files: if you somehow messed up the game files, you can reset them to an exact copy of the original.
  • Reset saves: delete all savegames from your browser. We recommend that you export them first: there is no turning back!
Import saves?

The saves in the zip file replace your saves that have the same name. If the game runs, it starts again.

Reset game files?

This puts back all the files that the game came with, also the files that you deleted or changed. Files that the game made, such as saves, stay. If the game keeps a save in one of its own files, that save is lost. If the game runs, it starts again.

Delete your saves?

This deletes all your saves and all your changes to this game. You cannot undo this. To keep a copy, export your saves first. If the game runs, it starts again.

Note that the game itself does not teach you how to play. Without the game manual, it'll take a lot of tedious trial and error to figure out. It took me some digging to find all the info, so I'll compile it here:

A great walkthrough by JMandel:
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/564661-life-and-death/faqs/1901

The full manual, including Dr Lindstrom's Diagnostic and Treatment Methods (step-by-step instructions). Not sure who originally did the transcription, but it must have been a massive effort:

The beeper codes for the phone by Hasgurd:

I don't use anesthesia on my patients. I like to hear their screams of pain before they die.

@KRT - it's not glitch, it's an old copy-protection. The game has booklet with some pager codes (ie.ICU 1,2,3,4) - you need read the nurse message (Dr is waiting to you on Morgue 2 or sth similar), check the codes for "Morgue 2" and respond (write the code on the telephone). The codes can be found on the internet

Every time I make the first incision, it glitches, then the OR is empty, and I get sent to the classroom with some bit about responding to pages. Anyone else?

Hi,
I'm trying L&D for the first time, running it in my browser. How do I save my game before exiting it? Is there any shortcut, I have to do something in the game, or anything?
Thanks in advance!
