Run under compatibility mode with Windows 98, run as administrator, and navigate to the game's install directory (normally "C:\Program Files (x86)\KWAN"), run config.exe, click "Advanced Settings", check "Use GDI", and click "Save and Play". The game should now run in a window and run fine. If not, go to the \data\ folder in the game's install directory , then \config\, then open CONFIG2.TXT, and make sure "usegdi" is "1" and not "0".

What tinkering is needed? It opens up but then kicks me back out of it...I've tried every compatibility setting.....I miss this game so much! :-)
