One of The Learning Company's early edutainment classics, Reader Rabbit is a fun and timeless game designed to teach 3-7 kids reading and spelling skills.
There are four different word games to play in the order of increasing difficulty: a word sorter, a picture labeler, the word train, and a variant of the memory game. All four games are very accessible, with pleasant graphics and just the right difficulty level to encourage kids to play more.
If you are looking for a fun language game to teach your kids basic reading and spelling skills (if they are already good at recognizing the alphabets), you would be hard pressed to find a much better program than Reader Rabbit - truly a wonderful edutainment program that is still as much fun today as it was in 1989. Highly recommended!

A basic install guide using dosbox/dosbox-staging
Start dosbox:
1. Mount the unzipped reader-rabbit directory as A by typing the command "mount A [path-to-reader-rabbit]"
2. Change to A in the prompt by using "A:" and pressing enter
3. Run "install" and go through the install
4. Switch back to C in the prompt by using "C:" and pressing enter
5. Type "RR" and press enter
loookingh for the game, reading math, we got a 2 year old that wonts everything and I used this roger rabbit when my kids were growing up it sure helped,
Can't get past the mount screen. I also would like the 1991 remake of this game.
Can you add the remake version of Reader Rabbit known as "Reader Rabbit 1"?

I'm using Dosbox 0.74, Reader Rabbit is on DosBox.com compatible list, so it should work. Am I missing anything like a patch or user's guide?
I liked the second version better than this one.
