The 2006 Sourcenext version of RA2 (aka Biohazard 2) is now available. Only released in Japan, BH2 brings increased resolution, uncompressed cutscenes and several others improvements. You'll have to patch the game, then copy the English translation files.

thankfully i still have the directors cut edition of this game on cd, so you can start with unlimited ammo, and once you reach the first chest all weapons are available to you to use. such a fun edition
I hate to be that guy, but despite GOG's efforts to 'restore' these classic Resident Evil games, the community had already outpaced them by miles, delivering superior results for free. GOG's opportunistic move to profit from something that still depends on community mods feels regressive—a blatant betrayal of the very spirit that platforms like MyAbandonware stand for.
So, i keep getting the "Failed to initialize DirectX(R)" error, been trying everything between coding and reinstalling dx, wtf am i supposed to do?

To get past the CD Key in the Sourcenext version, click on the CD-Drive created by the ISO file (on my PC, the drive is labeled "I:"). Upon clicking this, you should find a Text Document titled "CD-KEY". Here you'll find the Key needed to get past the CD-KEY during installation. I've attached a link for any other questions about the installation of RE2.

On Sourcenext, does anyone know how to get past the CD-Key? I'm not really sure what I'm doing lol
I download everything needed, try adding the patches (apparently simple) and there's no way I can see of doing it and getting it working.
Does the pc version also have tank controls?

To get it to work on Windows 10, I had to convert the img files to iso. I used PowerISO. Thanks for the game :D

This took a day to download.... i had to keep my computer on wiht out falling a sleep and keep the web browser open.... at 3am the next day it finally finished uploading.... .
Thank you very much for this, Resident Evil 2 is my favourite out of them all. Having a PC version is much nicer then the PS1 release with lower textures and resolution.
