As Rex Nebular, privateer and womanizer in the spirit of Han Solo (if only half as charming), you embark on a quest to steal a priceless vase from the planet that are populated only by woman. Tongue-in-cheek humor may be too sophomoric for some, but the interesting puzzles (on "hard" level) will not put anyone off this strangely compelling game.
Warning: on "hard" level the puzzles are unforgiving- unlike LucasArts' games, you can find yourself in an unwinnable situation. Save often!

Original story, convenient interface however the game itself is a bit overrated. Graphics is not the best Microprose had ever created - in fact some color conversion is clearly visible and games of that era had seen better visuals. Puzzles are logical but it is very difficult to deduce them. Most of the important objects is barely visible or require some not necessarly obvious actions. Some actions have to be done "post factum" and require trial and error approach (eg. sea monster case). There are some objects that you simply do not know why you will ever need them (eg. there is no information that the ship you are about to escape at the end does not have all the components and one of these components you need to obtain at the very beginning of the game; so if you didn't take it, you can't complete the game).
Solid adventure game, a good one but not very good when you consider yourself struggling with its completion.
If you search for this game on your website it doesn't show up as a result.
Type rex or nebular in the search box and it can't find it.
Rex Nebular and the Cosmic Gender Bender - fantasy quest with funny and puzzle elements. The main character Rex is sent to a distant planet to valuable vase. The problem is that the planet is inhabited exclusively female gender (here a few scenes frivolous content). Graphics and sound does not reach the level of the quests from Sierra, that does not prevent a plunge into an unusual story of the game.
For those not used to the movie ratings I used in my reviews, the video game rating equivalents are; R ~ M, PG13 ~ T And PG ~ E-10+. In other words, do not expect this to be a NC-17 or M rated game; but T if it's in "naughty" mode and E-10+ if it's in "nice" mode. It's still a very fun game though, so don't let it's relative tameness keep you from downloading this gem.
One thing I forgot to point out. There is a feature in the game that allows you to choose between "naughty" or "nice". However, because the three cases of nudity, and the one "sexual encounter" are mild and pixelated, it is merely a change from "PG-13" to "PG" . That should not stop you from downloading this great game however, unless you are a real pervert looking for cartoon porn.
More risque than pornographic, this hilarious game was one of the best spoofs of the war of the sexes ever made. On the planet Rex lands on, the war of the sexes was literal, and the men lost. If you're looking for soft core porn, or an R rated romp, you won't find it here, for although it is dirty, it is not filthy. However, if you are looking for a good laugh at the foibles of both types of sexism(male AND female), you're in for a treat..
