I honestly kinda like this game. It looks bad don’t get me wrong, but it’s like a campy bad. Like it knows it’s bad, but it still tries. Also the robots look cool!!!

This is still the worst game I ever bought.
Graphics were phenomenal, but that was the only good point of the game. Only one playable robot, lack of balance, absurd controls, paper thin plot that does not make any sense...
I got a refund and I still feel robbed - of my time at least.
If you want a good robot fighting game, pass on Rise of the Robots and go look at One Must Fall 2097.

Just to clarify, this game was also on Amiga CD32, which was basically the exact same as the original Amiga version.

The DOS game download comes only with VGA Low resolution version of the game (320x200) and not with SVGA High resolution version of the game (640X480) The low version has the archive LRISE.SMD and LRISE.EXE and this are in the cd-rom original game.

Great style, great music, great graphics, but the controls are a bunch of shit sometimes... :/
But all in all a great beat 'em up, worth to load and try out!
BTW, I always prefered the Super FamiCom version, of course of the even mentioned control issues... ;)

I remember how much of a let down this game was when it came out. All that hype for a below average fighter. But graphics were good for the time.
