RMTH3 Fix07 Jun. 2023
To everyone having issues running this on modern systems, it has some bugs. First is that it requires Windows NT4SP5 compatibility mode to load into the actual game. It was removed in a Windows 10 update so you have to find a way to work around it. Second it has a problem where it will keep tabbing out of the window unless you are running it in 640 x 480 mode, but you can fix this by taking ddraw.dll from DDrawCompat-v0.4.0.zip from the bottom of this page https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/releases/tag/v0.4.0 and putting it in the game folder where Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter 3 and the RMTH3help files are. Third it has some weird issue where the game likes to crash in the menus, I haven't found a real way to fix it but there are two ways around it. 1) Install the game but don't change any of the Graphics or Controls options, if you try to it crashes. 2) Install the game but right-click on the shortcut to Run as Administrator. This will let you change the Graphics and Controls options to make the game look and play better, but the problem is it will crash when you try to start a hunt. You can sometimes work around this by viewing the Credits and going back to the Main Menu a few times. I would recommend running it as Administrator one time to change the Graphics options, and then running it normally the rest of the time once you have set your settings. Please note, the game won't save your settings until you exit, so if you change them and then try to start a hunt and it crashes, they will reset.

This game doesn't work. The menu works 100% but once you try to go hunting it crashes. The bird hunter games from same studio works 100% on windows 10. Its weird.

If you want the game to run you need a virtual drive to load the iso and then install the game. You need to have the iso in the virtual drive if you want to play the game again
