The Incredible Toon Machine

Windows 3.x - 1994
Also available on: Mac

Incredible Toon Machine is the sequel to Jeff Tunnell's quirky Sid & Al's Incredible Toons, updated for Windows 95 and enhanced with many new devious levels.

As in the predecessor, ITM is an addictive cartoon construction game for puzzle lovers. Twist your brain through 130 new mind-crushing puzzles, go head-to-head with a friend, or design your own from a choice of over 71 gadgets in the Hometoons feature.

Computer Gaming World's 1994 review of the game says it all about what makes it so intriguing: "In Jeff Tunnell's latest installment in The Incredible Machine series, you create the same kinds of Rube Goldbergian devices you made in the past. The difference in the Toon version is that the result is always some wild animation where the cute, but not cuddly, creatures get anvils on the head and singed by dragon fire in order to get a chuckle out of you. The emphasis is still puzzle-solving, but the entertainment value has been punched up to the limit. Whether you're watching cats gag on hairballs or elephants sneezing their way through puzzle solutions, you'll have a great time straining your brain."

With a ton of great animations and hidden surprises in the form of interactions between various cartoon parts, Incredible Toon Machine is one puzzler that will keep you glued to the screen until the wee hours. Fans of The Incredible Machine series who find the games a bit too dry and static will tremendously enjoy the cartoons in this installment. A must-have for every puzzle fan.

It's all to easy to run it:
- Extract all file from archive in a folder
- Run DosBox
- From DosBox mount c to exact folder you use upper here
- Ever from dosbox.. you need to have to obtain C:\Windows on dosbox
- mount the .cue using imgmoung d xxx.cue -t cdrom
- run win.com from c:\windows
- wait windows 3.11 desktop (lol) and open sierra folder to start TITM....

Not sure what I am doing wrong but I used to be able to get this to work via installing windows 3.1 into dosbox and just dealing with the unregistered trial by reinstalling every some odd days. Can't find a legit/safe copy to download and I tried EUREKA! method in combination with THEPETECRAZY's suggestion. Where am I going wrong?
Step 1: Download DOSBOX, TITM files, and suggested MEGA file
Step 2: Virus check (don't trust MEGA sorry)
Step 3: Install DOSBOX and unzip TITM files and suggested file
Step 4: Copy the TITM3x folder placing into the windows3.1/games folder
Step 5: Copy the TITM3x/windows folder into the window3.1/windows folder selecting "skip these folders" when prompted to overwrite.
Step 6: Edited the windows.bat file in notepad, adding "@Z:/mount d x:/ -t cdrom" after the last command line.
Step 7: mounted the BIN file from TITM3x/cd to virtual drive labeled x:
Step 8: Drag & drop the windows.bat file onto the DOSBOX.exe to load up
Still no icon for TITM. Tried drag & drop the autoexe.bat with the mount commands. Still nothing. Tried converting the BIN file to ISO file via WinBinIso and mounting that instead. No luck. Hopefully someone more code savvy can tell me where I messed up.

follow EUREKA! instructions but..

copy windows folder from TITM3x to windows 3.1 windows folder without overwriting anything..
add "@Z:\mount d x:\ -t cdrom" to windows.bat "x" being drive name

voila

So I got this game to work finally. First, follow this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xNM1On2Izc

Then, get something like PowerISO to mount the BIN file under TITM3x/CD as a virtual drive on your PC (i chose f:\)

Then, drag the autoexec.bat from TITM3x folder (which is now under the Win 3.1 folder/games per the video's instructions) file to the DOSBOX shortcut.

lastly, type z:

then mount d f:\ -t cdrom
c:
windows

Now, click the icon for the game in virtual Windows 3.1 - and voila!!!

Mount it to dosbox ie: Mount C C:\Toons\ (Toons being the folder with all the files in it) Then run the C drive by Typing C: in dosbox, and finally run the game by typing Toon.exe
