I tried multiple "fixes" but the game never started. Most of these games are not even playable.

I made an xdelta patch for use on Steam Proton. It has only been tested on Linux, but I'd imagine it would also fix some timing issues on Windows versions as well.
Also, this game requires the Indeo 5 codec ir50_23.dll. You'll need to find it (easily on github) and place it in C:/windows/syswow64. Windows might require extra steps for registering the DLL.
