Creating a shortcut for ww_english.exe and setting its compatibility mode to Windows XP (Service Pack 3) while running it as an administrator fixed the crashes and black screen for me. I also renamed the WWOPIR5 file to skip the opening video.

I followed the instructions in the installation log but the game crashes every time I use the space bar or Enter (attack keys), has anyone had the same problem?

There used to be another old patch of this game, that did not cause problems with the game (crashing after the first room). On win11 I only get the game to work crashless in laggy graphics, do to the "fix" in the setting menue. Or has anyone got this to work perfectly? If so, feel free to respond :)
