Arguable the best racing game ever made, World Circuit doesn't match the graphics excellence of Papyrus' more famous Indycar Racing but more than makes up for it with superb physics model that gives authentic F1 feel without bogging the player down with unnecessary details.
All the official F1 tracks are present here, and you can choose to play against computer-controlled drivers or a friend. Highly recommended! If you like this classic, also check out the superior sequel and fellow Hall of Belated Fame entrant Grand Prix 2 on this site.

Please to windows 11 and i thank.
I played this game soooo much when I was a child on my old computer.. NICE!
This game is also called Formula One Grand Prix... Just saying. "World Circuit" was only the US name.
It's a great game. I've already managed to record the real pilots. Thanks. Video https://youtu.be/ZQ6cZQh5Vy4?si=IGIoK_cPcxFQ2lAC
I can already save the game state with an alternative version of Dosbox, but I would really like to know how to save configurations and pilot editing in-game in a more logical and normal way.
Great game, very fluid and fast, with no image tearing. I increased the bitrate to the maximum in the Dosbox emulator, but I'm a bit clumsy and can't save the game, the piloting aid settings, or the pilot names in the Dosbox game menu, and quick saves don't work either. I don't know what I'm doing wrong; I'll try a different version of Dosbox.
Entäs win 10 tai win 11
A good game, but need that the Gog. Use still the dosbox .
I played this to death on a Toshiba 486 laptop with 4MB of RAM and built in monochrome monitor. Even the complete lack of colour couldn't take away from the brilliance of this game, to the point where the 'A' key on my machine stopped working after a year due to my pressing on it so hard to accelerate. The 'Z' key (brake) didn't fair much better in the end either. Marvellous.
Can still be enjoyed today in DosBox, although using DBGL is much easier, as it is DosBox with a brilliant, easy to use front-end. No tinkering with command lines needed!
Ahhh, the wonder days of big box DOS games. This came on 3 floppy discs, and included a sizeable paper manual. Wonderful simulation, well thought out and brilliantly and efficiently executed. Highlights included the sheer speed of Hockenheim, cutting that corner just right in that race and in Spa. And the thrill of actually racing the famous Monaco circuit. All painstakingly designed to match their real life equivalents.
I saw an interview once, for the F1 program on the BBC, where drivers were using this very game to familiarise themselves and practice the tracks when they didn't have access to a real car, such was the realism of the simulation for the time. Not bad for 1992! No wonder it sold so well. Well done Geoff Grammond.
Hi. It´s true that amiga version are slow on 500, 500+, 600, 1200. But the 4000 normal configuration are faster, Really; I tried and it works well. I recommended it on Amiga.
Great F1 game, this runs smooth as silk in in VGA with textures even on a 12mhz 286.
Forget the Amiga version, apart reduced colors, no road textures and lots of missing animation it is SLOW, very slow even on A1200.
Great 90s simulation's game
aaah microprose grand prix

Despite of the graphics, its still the best and most atmospheric f1 game i can remember of :-)
I made this!
Use DOSBox
