Zyclunt a fun anime side-scrolling platformer that not many people have heard about, mostly due to it being distributed only in shareware channels.
The game is set in a dystopian future: in the year 2002 AD, planet earth was on the edge of social and economic breakdown due to incurable diseases, drugs, crimes, etc. Cyborgs and Bioroids were being exploited by the crime lords in their fight against the Establishment. You are Sou, member of Zyclunt-- a band of retired and discredited soldiers paid by the Establishment to undertake covert missions. After being drafted into the service, you finally are assigned your first mission as a marauding band of Mechadine had been sighted in D-C-14 district, where the regular meeting of the security council was taking place....
Gameplay is standard platform fare, but with excellent graphics and animation that make Zyclunt stand out from other shareware titles. The various kinds of robots and Cyborgs you encounter look like they are ripped straight out from popular Japanese comics (manga)-- it's a lot of fun just watching their cool designs and attacks. There are several cutscenes between missions that advance the story, and those are also very well done.
In short, if you are a fan of futuristic action games with a lot of robots (e.g. Mega Man), you will have a lot of fun with Zyclunt even if the odds seem impossible at times. Highly recommended!

The Rip version you have is only Windows 95 compatible, and even with compatibility mode on it lags like hell on Windows 10. I got a proper dosbox compatible version (0.74-3 as of date) that has intro screen, music, sound effects and that you can change the difficulty setting. The catch is that you got to play it from the START executive file they provided rather than the ZYCLUNT executive file. You should be able to play it fine through dosbox on windows 10, but I been having trouble trying to import it to my Anbernic rg351p retro hand held console that uses the latest ArkOS firmware. Perhaps the dosbox emulator installed is not up to date. If anyone has any idea how to run in on an Anbernic please contact me.
This is demo. Not full game.
This is indeed the somewhat truncated version of the game, there's no intro and only hard difficulty can be selected. The readme file states that the normal difficulty should be added in the commercial version of the game.
Weird thing: I can't seem to exit the game with the Esc key.
Sound and music are not missing, they're just turned off by default but can be set up with the CONFIG.EXE.
This is a cool futuristic, action game from Korea that has that SNES sort of feel to it. If you like Iron Blood you'll probably like this too (and vice versa).
@VIPERACIDZX Hey i would be great ! Send us a mail (use contact form), we'll tell you how to transfer it.
This is a bad rip of the game; there's no music, no sound effects, and the intro is missing. Please let me share a proper rip of the game (I also need to update Genocide 2: Master of the Dark Communion, too).
Have to be careful you don't mispell this one!
