A quirky action-oriented sub simulation that's disappointing given Three-Sixty's expertise in realistic wargames and reputation established with Harpoon. Although Three-Sixty obviously tries to imbue the game with realism, the game comes across as an arcade/wargame hybrid that can't decide which kind of game it wants to be. Bright VGA graphics and lots of gameplay options, including some inventive scenarios, help elevate the game somewhat.

P Will pause the game.
TAB Torpedo's eye view from the last torpedo fired (only available when not in "Realistic" mode) while held down.
S For increased speed, toggles the 3D Sub On/Off when at the Anti-Aircraft guns or the Deck Gun.
CURSOR keys Change direction of your U-boat.
The following keystrokes are to be used with the key;
B Gives report by radar detection.
C Reports course in degrees.
D Damage reports.
S Turns U-Boat into view of targets.
G Turns digitized graphics ON/OFF.
H Hydrophone report.
I 1st officer identifies locations.
K Reports U-Boat speed in knots.
T Sets torpedoes
O Radar detection.
P Adjusts U-Boat for periscope view.

It seems a bunch of assholes made this game because it's practically unplayable.
Just tried playing the arctic mission where you've got to find and sink 3 destroyers,
well, I sank 1 and looked for the others in this iceberg "maze" and when I was nowhere
near these damn bergs, my boat gets damaged by being in "shallow" water, while the whole time going at speed 1! Really fucked up "game"!

I spent hours and hours with this game!! 30 years ago. I got it to my labtop buy i cant install it. A message says smthing about 32bit or 64 bit version. Can you help me? Thanks a lot!!

GREAT GAME...
The developers thought of everything, including dud torpedoes (an actuality during the first years of the war). This is not an action game for those who want to kill everything in sight, but a strategy game for those willing to live the experience. My particular version came with a poster sized map of the North Atlantic (used to locate your area of patrol) and the ability to use a microphone/headset for simple voice commands.

Nice game, good graphcs considering the era. Unfortuneately, there is little to no documentation left. Figuring out the keyboard stuff is impossible.
