Discworld II: Mortality Bytes!

Crap. Sorry. Forgot to mention I got the PSX version from the lair of v i m m. It is neither the DOS or the Sega Saturn version, but some wholly new and beastly version with two whole .bin files. Ghastly!

I'm using Retroarch with a PCSX ReARMed core. That's been working well for games I've played so far (Die Hard Trilogy, MDK, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, etc.). Welcome to The Future, folks!

ED's comment was extremely helpful. Until the game needs you to insert disc 2.
Copy and paste (and modify the folder names) lines below at the end of the DosBox option file. This way the game loads instantly when you run DosBox.
When the game asks for the Disc 2, press CTRL+F4.

mount c D:\Discworld
imgmount d "D:\Discworld\dw2_cd1.bin" "D:\Discworld\dw2_cd2.bin" -t iso
c:
cd DW2
DWB.EXE

I followed the directions in Ed's comment and it's working perfectly. Sound works fine.

Scummvm emulator is the best and easy way to go

I am running with sound in dosbox on Windows 10, no issues so far.

Assuming the isos are extracted to C:/dosbox/dw2iso

mount c c:\dosbox
imgmount d c:\dosbox\dw2iso\dw2_cd1.bin -t iso
d:
install.bat

some sound files are missing when i mount and run via SCUMVM im not sure how to run the patch at all when im mounting and playing and not installing, someone uploaded a rip but im not sure how to run it at all? any help?!

Once Disc is Mounted (i used daemon tools) you can run this using SCUMVM, add game and select the mounted disc no need to install. you could run this through a virutal machine however SCUMMVM is likly the easiest way.

The 63 megabytes file doesn't work, so don't waste your time on it. The 914 megabyte file works but can't read some file, uvconfig or something, necessary for the sound to work, I'm assuming. Anyway, the files need to be worked with and apparently it's still having issues with accessing the CD drive. If anyone has gotten them to work, let us know please

I've got the same problem with the sound. I'm using D-Fend - mounted CD1 as a virtual drive - haven't attached a setup file so perhaps this is where I'm going wrong. I will check this comment section every day for the next 10 years.

Damn, why you need disc to play Discworld?

Seriously, it says that it could not locate the Discworld CD. Anybody got around this problem by 2021?

How to use the patch? Unpack it into the same folder?
