How to Play
If you're running the game on Windows 7 - select Run in 256 colors, Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution, Disable visual themes and Disable desktop composition in Compatibility mode settings
If you want to play without the disc - copy ASSETS folder from the disc to the game directory, then open Registry Editor (regedit.exe) and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/WOW6432Node/Disney Interactive/Tarzan's Jungle Tumble/1.0/Directories, edit the paths in the Asset1 and BMPInOutFolders parameters like this: ./Assets/ (i.e. replace with the dot everything before Assets)
Comments and reviews
Got this running on Windows 11 (64-bit) with the NL-FR ISO. The installer is 16-bit, so it won't run on 64-bit Windows, but you can install by hand:
1. Mount the ISO. Copy everything from Setup\tzjthsfd\HD\Dutch (or \French) to a folder, e.g. C:\Games\Tarzan.
2. Copy Setup\tzjthsfd\CD\Dutch (or \French) to C:\Games\Tarzan\assets\Dutch (or \French). The game adds the language folder itself.
3. Clear the read-only flag on all copied files (Properties untick Read-only).
4. Create the registry keys the installer would have made. Save this as a .reg file, adjust the paths, and double-click it:

5. The game still showed a black screen and closed after a second. The fix was cnc-ddraw (github.com/FunkyFr3sh/cnc-ddraw). Put ddraw.dll and ddraw.ini next to tarzan.exe. Set windowed=true and maintas=true in ddraw.ini if you want a window.
6. Don't use any compatibility-mode settings on tarzan.exe. cnc-ddraw handles the display.
No disc needed after this.
