Dominion: Storm Over Gift 3

You can't get the 1.2 patch to work with the ISO on modern systems. You have to go to this website https://stormovergift3.blogspot.com/ to download the pre-installed folder, but you still need to install it with the ISO to get the registry files. To install it with the iso, it does work with daemon tools, but you have to download a 16-bit InstallShield Support package from here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/application-management/x64-windows-not-support-16-bit-programs#use-16-bit-installshield-installers-to-install-32-bit-applications to get the janky "Sold-Out Software" install program to work.

The CD version is the one I would recommend, it's the full game, videos and all. To get it to work properly under windows 11, you need to set the compatibility to XP sp3, create a file called ddraw.ini with the following content in root:
[ddraw]
windowed = true
maxfps = 60
vsync = true
border = true

and also the dll file from here (also in root of the game):

Trying to start with the EXTRACTED "Dominion" file. Still wants the CD....???

I had this game a long time ago, maybe 2001? It was one of my favorites and I'm looking forward to reliving the experience!

every time i play it is says

This program requires windows NT 4.0 with service pack 3 or higher

and

warning: 640 x 480 is not supported by your video card and/or monitor. please choose another resolution or contact eidos tech support

This game is a great challenge, will it be a playable updated or remastered version for win 10 or 11 or maybe a better yet a second version of Dominion.

You can also use the same "trick" as Galli described to get cinematics to work without burning any CDs.
1. Copy all cinematics into a folder (e.g. Cine) in the dominions install folder.
2. Edit the Dominion.ini in your windows folder.
The entry should look like this under the [Dominion] line:
CineDir=.\\Cine\\

This will not unlock any of the cinematics, so you'll have to play through the game for them to appear in the cinematics list.

I can run it but its in black and white pixels... any idea how to fix that?

Just download the RIPped file instead of the ISO file.

But I can’t run it after download file

I figured out how to make music play in-game.

You have to navigate to your windows directory and find Dominion.ini. You can also paste this into a folder and press enter and it should come up: %WINDIR%/Dominion.ini

Extract the files from the ISO to a folder and then put the folders name in the .ini file. Heres an example of how it should look: AudioMusicDir=.\\Musicfiles\\

How to run in Windows 10: (Rip version)
1) Right click on the executable file
2) Run in Compatibility Mode (Win 95)
3) Settings:
3.1) Run at 640x480
3.2) Disable full screen optimizations
3.3) Run as administrator

so yeah if you want to play iso you will need 2 cd's and install the game from there because daemon tools wont work this game needs actual cd's to play cinematics if you dont have cd's you just end whit the rip version wich is playable and pretty fun please more people download i would love this game community to grow
