Hexen II: Mission Pack - Portal of Praevus

if you're having trouble playing this, download the hexen 2 source port "hammer of thyrion". make a shortcut to glh2.exe and in the "target" path, make sure you add "-game portals" (no quotes) after the full filepath of glh2.exe. if you want to play as the demoness through the original hexen 2 levels first, go to "new mission" and choose demoness, then open the console with ~ and type "map demo1". this will bring you to the first level of the base game.

I have both original Hexen 2 discs, the GOG and Steam versions and can't get Portal of Praevus to play. Both disc versions crash after seing the start screen. I really wish Nightdive could remaster both with controller modern support that would be unbelievable.

An expansion that's in my opinion better than the original game. If you liked Hexen 2 at all, check it out.

does Hexen 2 PoP work with the previous expansions in trying to get it to work?

One update later and it's working great on my Steam version of Hexen 2.

If you're using the steam version, copy it to another folder, then decompress it into the same folder, run H2MP.Exe and it should work from there. It may work in the steam folder as well but I didn't want to risk messing up my steam copy

I have Hexen II installed, but I cannot install this addon because it doesn't seem to find that the core game is installed. It just gives me an error that I must have the full original game.
