This game is rather bizarre one, because it's Korea-exclusive product which was developed by Japanese game company Soft Machine under a contract. Soft Machine was primarily "known" (more like "unknown") for several sports and Pachinko games in the 80's and early 90's, but they actually did one absolute banger of a game in their entire history of existence - CRISIS BEAT, a PSOne-exclusive 3D Beat 'Em Up, released in 1998, which was their most highest quality production ever. They never did anything better than CRISIS BEAT, it was their magnum opus. Soft Machine dissolved and it's staff was poached/devoured by other bigger game developing studios and companies (primarily Namco and Capcom), in 2001. Soft Machine will forever be remembered for CRISIS BEAT, as it's a truly solid Beat 'Em Up with high levels of interactivity, great battling mechanics, memorable design/art style, unconventional setting and high overall quality of production values.
