How to Play
To play the patched game in French, install the English version using the fixed setup, patch it then edit MONOPOLY.INI with a text editor. Change these lines:
Language=FrenchBoardImage=French
Then, you need to copy the following files from the French CD into the game install directory:
DLG_FRE.DLL*.TRF(all TRF files)
English

Some effort to get this working on a modern Win10/11 system (you have to put the wing32.dll file in your SysWOW64 folder), but it does work perfectly on Wine.
Is it worth it though? I don't think so. Constant annoying vids, awful music, and the interface is flat out horrible, almost unusable (and I grew up with a lot of these older games, younger players now will almost certainly not be able to stomach it). A rather obnoxious version of Monopoly...not worth the effort in my opinion.
I also got a cd of this for free from a cereal box or something.
Still have it at my childhood home. Great game!

Top notch quality game even for today's standards. In the age of remasters, we need its remaster.
I still have a CD of the original game, I remember getting it in a cereal box. Happy to know that i have the files of what seems to be a rare game now
This game has been my favorite Monopoly game since i was a kid. The soundtrack along with the animations are pure class.
