The follow-up to SSI's Apple II classic Questron and spiritual cousin to EA's Legacy of the Ancients, Questron II picks up the story years after its predecessor ends.
This time, Mesron the Great Wizard sends you on a journey into the past to prevent the Mad Sorcerors from creating the Evil Book of Magic. Excellent plot, puzzles, and many nice touches (e.g. the casinos you can gamble in) make this one of the best solo RPGs ever and a true successor to Legacy of Ancients in spirit.

Friggin loved this game as a kid, once you get your stats up high enough you can rob the casinos and the stores, then you get that cool bird to ride around on, this game really lit the fire in me as far as rpgs go, might be the first one I ever played, hard to remember cause its been 35 yrs-ish. Also loved King's Quest, those games were super legit!
I got some burns in some stupid accident, was 14 days in a hospital (almost no scars) had a great insurance at the time and my doc got me a private room with two beds, I was allowed to use a computer all day, this game made my life so much easier in those days! Nurses and Docs were amazed by it, Thanks to the creators are due.
I actually enjoyed the pacing. But I'm one of those geeks that likes to do all the low level stuff forever. The graphics and sound are hell but I loved the progression. lots of fun for an rpg lover.
Above is not true.
In the very beginning you can steal powerful weaps, but ts long time a go.
To me as a child this game was great. Took some time to understand foreigh language tho..
I can't say the game was terrible, but the pacing kind of was - you are weak for a long time until you buy enough spells to ransack the temples for gold to buy more spells. Only at that point can you get powerful enough to do the main questline, get your eagle mount, beat the dungeons, and win.
