The Bozz - I think you are missing the point re 'Dizzy'
The way he moved and jumped (sometimes too far) and having to go backwards and forwards repeatedly was the whole reason the games were so infuriatingly addictive!

Give it a rest 'The Boz'. The Dizzy series was excellent and you making the same whinging complaint about every game in the Dizzy series won't change that. Stop being a butt-hurting loser.

This was one of the Dizzy games I had, and even back then, I always thought the Dizzy series was massively over rated. I never liked how Dizzy moved, in particular how he jumped. The graphics always felt dated especially for a "big" name game and with programming progressing and evolving, this game just felt like a ZX game bearing in mind platformers such as Robocop were released the year before. I never got all the puzzles as a kid, or had little interest, basically travel to A, then to B, go to C to go back to A to go to D to walk past A to go to C and so on.

I know this series has a cult following with some gamers, and that was the main reason why people bought into this game back then. Much better platformers around at the time on the C64 such as Myth, Creatures, Navy Seals, Rick Dangerous, Flimbo's Quest, New Zealand Story, Turrican, I can name dozens more. I know Codemasters were a budget label, but they were not the only budget software house at the time and there were many more games that pushed the machine a little harder than Dizzy did, even years before these games were released.
