How to Play

Notes:

• If the installation doesn't start - try to launch Setup.exe in compatibility mode with old version of Windows (98, 2000 or XP)
• It is recommended to install all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable and NET Framework for the correct work of the game. Also it is recommended to install K-Lite Codec Pack for the correct work of in-game videos
• The game works on DirectX 9, so if you're using Windows 8, 8.1, 10 or 11 - you need to enable DirectPlay: Go to Control Panel, and select 'Programs'. Select 'Turn Windows features on and off', click on 'Legacy Components' and check the box 'DirectPlay'. Select OK, once the installation is done, restart your computer
• All versions of the game are DRM-Free, you can simply install & play. For English/French version - after you installed the game, go to game folder, delete pacific.exe, rename game.bin and run the game from that new exe-file; otherwise the game will be asking to insert the disc
• The game should work fine on modern systems, we tested it on Windows 10. If you have the issues with the game, try to run it through dgVoodoo 2
• If the game crashes on the start - don't skip intro videos. If the game still crashes, try to rename/remove "Movies" folder; also, try to run the game through dgVoodoo 2
• The game has full controller support, but you must have both the mouse & gamepad connected before launch of the game, to change the settings. If the game doesn't recognize your gamepad - try using one of the additional tools from PCGamingWiki guide for controllers
• It is better to not minimize the game's windows (by pressing Windows key or opening Task Manager), the game may crash
