A banger! Had this on my NES. Always room for 'one last try'. It's a shame in a way how this isn't condisered in the top-10 of those early classics.

Xevious was released also for standard NES & FamiCom. Why aren't these platforms figured in "also available on" column? The roms for these platforms aren't available here either. Is it due to copyright? Anyway, I played the coin-op, FamiCom and NES versions. I can recommend all of these 3 as the ports are close to the original - you'll notice the home ports (at least these I wrote) are getting much harder as you "progress" the game (by progress I mean continuous play and numerous enemy kills). All 3 worth playing despite their age.

Played this on my mates ZX81, so it's the first actual home computer game I ever played. First game ever was Pong on a Teleng Colourstar console, what a beast that was!

Also one of the better games in the Atari 7800's small library.
