This is an abandonware Windows gem that is released only in Japan in 2001. Fortunately, someone overseas purchased it, translated to english and release it worldwide for everyone. It's a very good program that let you create fighting games like Street Fighter easily without any programming knowledge. This also includes a sample mini fighting game to play. Also, this is the game making program that created Vanguard Princess.
There is an issue of a different translated version out there has been flagged as infected by an antivirus. This one is a clean version that don't trigger the AV.
The original Japanese version is now available, and it has tons of red flags. The English translated exe have similar flags.

We reestablished the fan 2DFM2nd community once again to support this wonderful game engine. We are already aware of it's "virus" issue but it is truly a false positive and safe to use. Join it's Discord and feel free to ask questions to us members.
Good day
i downloaded the program, everytime i do i can't use the editor because it's infected with viruses, two trojans that have malware and visel or something like that, but i opened the editor alone in a carpet away from everything and opened, but i can't use it to see the .player files
There's viruses in languages zip folders :/
each time i download it there's a warning
hey i just downloaded this software to see if i can visualize the sprites for certain games but the engine does not open them, is there something i'm missing?
I'm using this gamemaking tool for many years now without any problems on my computer even today. There were no virus alerts in this tool during the WinXP years with the updated AntiViruses at the time. Then the fan community (long gone) was surprised of its sudden virus alert once their PCs were upgraded (Hardware, Windows7, newer Antiviruses). Many answers if it's really infected, it's a surely inactive, harmless and dead. Others say its a very old software (made in 2002) and it's makers no longer support it to fix future issues. Anyway, to be safe to test any old software, use a virtual machine.
Virustotal and Malwarebytes tag it as malicious, but I'm assuming its a false positive?
Is it possible to find the Help Files? I'm scouring the internet but until now no luck...
Cleaned up the archive of a suspicious sample game
Is this real
This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you, time to design my characters and have them kick butt!
